Flatwig x Marimar
Flatwig Studio presented the project Uovocomune at the Fuorisalone in the context of Convivium, a project curated by the Milanese architect Davide Colaci.
Flatwig Studio was commissioned to design a collection of marble objects for the table with the aim of finding unexpected ways of expression for our domestic everydaylife.
Uovocomune is a project that is freely inspired by the tradition of the Renaissance banquet, a place where it was customary to build real ornamental compositions with the egg: edible object, archetype and symbol of the origin of the world. Through the red marble of Verona, a precious support has been created to bring the egg back to our parties, both as a single element and through a composition of shapes that hybridizes the support and the egg itself. With a simple vertical overlap that alludes to the Renaissance towers, an almost infinite egg tower can be built, while with a vertical overlap that alludes to the Renaissance towers, imagining a collective for the multitude of guests.
